Pudge exits with right hamstring spasm
Jun 22, 2007. source : mlb WASHINGTON -- Tigers catcher Ivan Rodriguez left Wednesday's game in the fourth inning with a right hamstring spasm and is listed as day-to-day.
With one out in the fourth inning, Rodriguez motioned to the dugout, and manager Jim Leyland visited with a trainer. The catcher then left the game.
Backup catcher Mike Rabelo entered the game in Rodriguez's place. Two batters later, a wild pitch from Detroit pitcher Jeremy Bonderman scored a run.
Rodriguez took Tuesday off because he wanted to play Sunday in Philadelphia instead, where the stadium is much smaller than in Washington.
